Here are the things I did to build my back into a turtle shell: 🔺 I scheduled my back days at the beginning of my workout split to allow me to be as fresh as possible and not fatigued, as well as either after a rest day or a high-carb day. 🔺 I split my back days into two, one prioritizing the lats and the other focusing on the upper back. The back is made up of many different muscles, and this allowed me to isolate what I needed to train and thus provided a greater mind-to-muscle connection. 🔺 I trained to failure and found movements like stationary rows where I could overload the back, brace myself, and focus on form and technique. This tip should be applied to every muscle group, but definitely needs to be applied to weak points. 🔺 I posed and flexed my back in general and in between sets.
